Everton manager David Moyes can finally breathe following the conclusion of this summer’s transfer window.

The work done in the window was mightily impressive from Everton in what turned out to be a hectic summer.

With so many players departing at the end of their contracts, Angus Kinnear had a huge task on his hands at Everton to bring in quality and quantity.

However, the early signs are extremely positive, with Moyes’ side securing six points from their opening three Premier League games.

Perhaps even more encouraging for The Friedkin Group is that some of the summer signings are already making an impact.

There is even one who has left former Premier League striker Darren Bent absolutely wowed.

Darren Bent wowed by Jack Grealish’s Everton revival

Darren Bent has already hailed Grealish as one of the best players in the Premier League, following his Everton turnaround.

No player in the Premier League can boast more assists (4) than the Everton loanee currently.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Bent has now doubled down on his praise of the 29-year-old, suggesting he should be playing for England ahead of Eberechi Eze.

When asked who should start in England’s next game between Eze and Grealish, Bent quickly replied: “Game tomorrow? Jack.”

“From what I’ve seen from Jack this season… wow!”

“There’s certain players in the squad where you just have to go [have freedom]. He was good for Manchester City, but we never saw the same Grealish that we saw for Villa.

“David Moyes is a manager who’s very structured, he doesn’t like too many moving parts, but he’s given Grealish the licence to go and win games. And Jack has been incredible at that.”

However, Bent did suggest he’d prefer Eze over Grealish for Arsenal, which saw Andy Goldstein reply: “Honestly?”

Bent put it down to Eze having a couple of years on Grealish, which made Goldstein laugh given Eze is not exactly a spring chicken.

Everton hold a £50m option to buy Grealish from Man City following his initial loan which was struck a matter of weeks ago.

He’s certainly living up to that price tag already, and he’s outperforming the £67m Eze who has only just made the move to Arsenal this summer.

David Moyes is delighted with Grealish’s performances

There was always going to be a lot of pressure on Grealish to find his best form, given he has struggled for a couple of years now.

Having signed Grealish and Tyler Dibling, Moyes was left delighted with Everton’s transfer business.

But there are still some areas needing to be strengthened, but this summer has been an extremely positive one for Everton.

And Moyes has already shared his delight with Grealish’s early form.

“He is even better than I thought,” said Everton boss David Moyes after the recent win at Wolves.

“He probably needs a bit of love and attention. He needs the games as well.

“Hopefully he starts building on it and he gets even better as the season goes on.

“He is making a big difference. Whether it is his assists, his presence, lots of things.
