Everton are taking on Leeds United tonight in the Premier League, and a lot of eyes will be on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The striker will face his old club for the first time since leaving on a free in the summer.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin did not feature for Leeds in the reverse fixture back in August, with the ace having only just signed at the time of the game.
What kind of reception does Calvert-Lewin deserve on his Everton return? 🫣
But tonight will be the first reunion. And Calvert-Lewin has admitted it’ll be strange to face Everton having spent so long as a Toffees player.
Most Evertonians will likely be giving him a nice reception ahead of the game. But once that first whistle blows, he could well get some stick, with fans hoping to put him off his game.
Ahead of tonight’s clash, David Moyes was asked about the former Everton number nine.

David Moyes hints Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s poor availability was a factor in Everton exit, ahead of Leeds clash
Calvert-Lewin’s move to Leeds has certainly worked out.
While he had a bit of a slow start, the star has been on fire recently, and has hit eight goals in his last 10 Premier League games.

That has helped to make him the top English marksman in the league so far, and the Everton defenders will need to have their wits about them tonight.
Undoubtedly, he’ll be determined to score, as much as he has tried to play this game down.
Ahead of the contest, Moyes spoke of his delight for Calvert-Lewin. And the Everton manager also hinted that Calvert-Lewin’s poor availability for Everton was a factor in his departure.
He said in an interview with Sky Sports: “I’m pleased for Dom that he’s back fit and playing games. Which was probably the thing that made it a bit more difficult for us to make sure we were going to keep him or not, because just we weren’t sure about his availability.
“But he’s back and in really good condition, doing what he’s doing. So I’m pleased for him. But I won’t be too pleased if he does it against us, that’s for sure.”
A big night for the Everton centre-backs vs Leeds
Calvert-Lewin will be raring to go this evening as he seeks to continue his brilliant goalscoring form.
It’ll no doubt be a big night for James Tarkowski and his partner – most likely Jake O’Brien – as they’ll be tasked with nullifying their former teammate at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Do Ndiaye and Gueye come straight back in? 🤔
If they can both play as well as they did against Aston Villa, then it’ll be a long night for Calvert-Lewin.
Since the Everton players know how Calvert-Lewin plays and the specifics of his game, there is a reasonable chance that he’ll be dealt with tonight.
In an ideal world, we won’t hear his name too much tonight and Everton – who’ve been given a 52.4% chance of beating Leeds by Opta – can make it back-to-back wins.
