David Moyes has a big task on his hands at Everton.

The Toffees are winless in their last six games and the goals have completely dried up, leaving them just one point above the relegation zone.

Moyes has been brought in to steady the ship and bring back the good feeling at Goodison Park – which has been absent all season.

The Scotsman suffered a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in his first game back but has the chance to get his first points on the board today, as Everton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Goodison Park.

Moyes has been focusing on attacking drills in training, so the Toffees are expected to be a much more front-footed outfit.

And, he’s also prepared to give fringe players a fresh start, with one man in particular expected to play a much more prominent role in the remainder of the season.

David Moyes plans to give Jesper Lindstrom more game time

According to the Daily Mail, Moyes is planning to give Jesper Lindstrom way more game time having spent the first half of the season making cameo appearances.

Lindstrom has started just seven Premier League games following his loan move from Napoli – which has a £19m buy option.

The former West Ham United boss has been tracking him for years and was a big admirer when he played at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Moyes has already told Lindstrom that he prefers him as a right-winger, rather than off the left where he has played at times this term.

Lindstrom playing for his Everton future

Lindstrom really needs to step up and show exactly why Moyes has placed so much faith in him.

The Denmark international has his Everton future to play for between now and the end of the season, with it looking unlikely his option to buy will be activated, at this stage.

Back in November, Lindstrom said he needed to improve in order to stay at Goodison Park permanently.

“Of course I am happier, I want to play football, it’s my job. The more time I get, the calmer I get in situations and the thing I have missed is the last pass, the last shot, it is what coming now,” he told the Liverpool Echo.

“I’m here for the season, then we will see what happens. I have to show that I am good enough to stay.”
