David Moyes has a poor record vs Tottenham Hotspur

Interestingly, Everton are actually the big underdogs against Tottenham, according to Opta’s supercomputer.

That is rather surprising as the Toffees actually have the joint-third best away record in the division, whilst Spurs have one of the worst home records.

Although, Moyes’ doesn’t have a great history against the North Londoners, as he’s lost more than he’s won over the years.

The reverse fixture between these two sides saw Thomas Frank’s side win 3-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in October.

The Premier League have also appointed Michael Oliver as the referee for the Toffees’ clash this weekend, so that’s added another layer of doubt among some fans.

Moyes’ side have been on the wrong end of some controversial decisions by Oliver, most recently being denied a penalty against Manchester City when Merlin Rohl appeared to be fouled in the box.

So, all the signs point towards a tough game down in the capital, and the mentality may be slightly different now that European qualification is out of the question.
