Exciting Everton youngster Braiden Graham has now been handed a call-up to the Northern Ireland national side.

Graham excelled for Everton’s U21 side this season, which has earned him recognition from Michael O’Neil.

Although David Moyes did not hand the 18-year-old his senior Everton debut this season, the youngster will now have an opportunity to show his worth in the men’s game.

Braiden Graham offered opportunity David Moyes would not afford him at Everton

There is an expectation that Graham will be handed an opportunity at Everton during pre-season this summer.

After that, a loan away from the club would appear the most likely outcome, given Moyes’ reluctance in using his younger players.

Graham will now be afforded an opportunity in the men’s game with his national side, with two friendlies lined up for next month.

Out of the two games, the home clash against Guinea may be the more likely for Graham to make an appearance.

However, any experience he can get leading up to pre-season with Everton will be a big boost as he looks to impress Moyes.

Clearly, O’Neil has a lot of confidence and expectation in the 18-year-old, with the call-up showing trust that Moyes did not provide during the season.

The final game against Tottenham Hotspur was a huge opportunity for Moyes to offer his younger players some minutes; Moyes stuck with his usual suspects.

Paul Tait was blown away by Graham this season as the youngster scored more than 20 goals across all competitions.

The upcoming season could be a significant one for Graham and his development, but the cherry has been put on top of the cake to mark the end of this term through an international call-up.
