Just about everything good this season for Everton has come from Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but the pair have both caused major injury nerves among fans this week.

David Moyes is heading into the game on Saturday against Arsenal without Idrissa Gana Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye due to their participation in AFCON.

Coming up against the Premier League leaders was always going to be a test for Everton, but the number of absences has taken it to another level.

Everton are asking their fans to create a big atmosphere against the Gunners in what will be the final game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this year.

Injuries have been a big issue for Moyes all season, with Jarrad Branthwaite yet to even play since signing his bumper new deal over the summer.

Looking ahead to the game against Arsenal, Moyes has now shared an update on Dewsbury-Hall and Grealish’s injury latest.

Everton issue Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall injury update

On Thursday evening, Dewsbury-Hall issued his own injury message as he made it clear that his injury would see him sidelined.

It is a massive blow for Everton given just how well the midfielder had been playing in recent weeks.

During his press conference on Friday, Moyes shared the very latest on the Everton duo.

“Kiernan’s doing well, but not available for the game. So, it’ll be a big miss for us but that’s what happens at this time of the year,” said Moyes.

“Jack will be fit and available to play, yes,” he added.

How much more confident are you now Grealish has been declared fit? 🤩

Moyes has been so impressed with Grealish in the opening months of his loan where he has played just about every minute for Everton.

Losing one of Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall would have been a disaster so this will come as some good news to the fans.

Grealish hands Everton major boost

Unfortunately, Dewsbury-Hall’s omission was to be expected on the back of the midfielder’s Instagram post on Thursday night.

However, there was a glimmer of hope when it came to Grealish given he played most of the game at the weekend.

What would your message to Tyler Dibling be ahead of Arsenal? 🫣

His lack of involvement this season is maddening!

Tyler Dibling is expected to get a rare Everton start, where he is going to be able to finally prove Moyes exactly what he can offer.

It is going to be a huge opportunity for some of the players in Moyes’ squad who would not regularly get much more than a cameo appearance.

But to have the experienced Grealish alongside the likes of Dibling will be a huge boost for Moyes on Saturday.

A busy schedule lies ahead for Everton and any further injury issues would be nothing short of a disaster.
