Everton are actively looking at a number of domestic and overseas transfer targets this summer.
David Moyes is considering a £33m move for Thierno Barry, who is a Villarreal and France under-21 striker.
Nick Woltemade is also on Moyes’ radar, and it’s understood the Stuttgart centre-forward is valued at around £34m.
Everton have been looking at Manchester City’s Jack Grealish, too, but that deal would take significant financial might.
The Citizens want at least £50m to sanction Grealish’s sale, and he is reportedly earning around £300,000-a-week.
However, interestingly, looking at David Moyes‘ three most expensive signings ever, it’s clear there is one position he’s willing to spend big on at Everton, and it’s not out wide.

David Moyes clearly willing to spend big on an attacking midfielder at Everton
Looking at Moyes’ three most expensive signings of all time, it’s very evident that he’s willing to push the boat out on signing an attacking midfielder.
- Juan Mata (£37m)
- Mohammed Kudus (£36m)
- Lucas Paqueta (£35m)
Mata, Kudus and Paqueta are all considered flair players who are solely responsible for playmaking and taking risks in the final third.
The latter two, in particular, enjoyed their best form under the Scotsman, with both Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter failing to maximise their skillset.
It’s clearly an area of the pitch Moyes really values and he is, in fact, in the market for a number 10 this summer.
Everton are interested in signing Manchester City playmaker James McAtee
Everton have been exploring a deal to sign James McAtee, who Manchester City have made available for sale.
It’d take a sizeable offer of around £35m to get McAtee out of the Etihad, but if Moyes feels he’s the right fit, he’ll have no issue using a hefty chunk of his budget to bring him in.
The Toffees were also looking at Rayan Cherki before he completed a £30m move to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Sheffield United playmaker Gustavo Hamer remains on Moyes’ radar, and there have been reports that Moyes is looking to strike a £20m deal.
