Everton are actively looking at a number of options in the transfer market, with CEO Angus Kinnear keen to sign players with a long-term future at the club.
David Moyes is eyeing a move to sign Harry Wilson after his sensational season for Fulham, netting eight goals whilst laying on five assists.
Napoli wide player Noa Lang has also been linked with Everton and so too has Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
How good of a signing would this be for Everton? 👀
Everton are showing an interest…
Arsenal playmaker Ethan Nwaneri is of interest to the Toffees as well, and now David Ornstein has just issued an update on his situation.
David Ornstein gives update on Everton target Ethan Nwaneri
It was reported earlier this month that Everton were weighing up a move to sign Nwaneri, along with Fulham.
The 18-year-old has been on the fringes at Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta only affording him 165 minutes of Premier League football.
Everton fans, would you back a move for Ethan Nwaneri this month? 🤔
It's been claimed we've taken a look at the Arsenal youngster…
Athletic journalist David Ornstein has posted an update on X, reporting that Marseille are now looking to snatch the England youth international on a loan deal.
“Marseille working on deal to sign Ethan Nwaneri on loan from Arsenal for rest of season,” Ornstein wrote.
“Not agreed yet. Would include fee. No buy option. #AFC favour #OM on De Zerbi / style but also PL + other European interest. 18yo decision soon.”
Ethan Nwaneri prioritising game time
Nwaneri’s camp are prioritising a loan switch that will secure ‘increased game time’, so for Everton to stand any chance of landing his signature, Moyes will have to offer him that.
The Scotsman has never really operated in that manner with new signings, especially for young players, so that may be a potential stumbling block.
Who would Ethan Nwaneri start ahead of in a fully fit Everton XI? 🤔
Moyes often likes to bed new signings in and give them plenty of time to adjust to their new surroundings and the demands expected of them.
Summer signing Merlin Rohl only completed his second 90 minutes against Aston Villa on the weekend, so that’s evidence to suggest Nwaneri wouldn’t be guaranteed regular minutes from the get-go.
