Everton fans are clamouring to hear more about their summer transfer plans, given how proficient they have been in the market.
Three signings have already way surpassed expectations, and having done so with minimal outgoings has been even more shocking.
However, there is an expectation that this unbridled positivity must soon be offset with a crushing sale.
David Ornstein has sought to suggest on the contrary though.
David Ornstein delivers fresh Jarrad Branthwaite update
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the revered transfer journalist sought to provide an update on Everton’s transfer fortunes.
And yet, whilst they are already proving to be hugely active in the market, there remains a looming threat over who might still leave Goodison Park this summer.

Manchester United want Jarrad Branthwaite, quite clearly, whilst Dominic Calvert-Lewin refuses to sign a new contract.
Ornstein opted to offer his verdict on the former saga, providing the following positive update: ‘There were reports previously that he had agreed personal terms with Manchester United, but I’ve got no evidence to suggest that he’s unhappy at Everton, that he wouldn’t be the ultimate professional and continue to progress in his career positively if he stays there.
‘And so, we’re going to have to wait and see if Manchester United come back in. I don’t think they’re going to go a huge amount higher from the conversations I’ve had, and then it will become a test of Everton’s resolve. But so far, they haven’t blinked at all.’
Jarrad Branthwaite staying would be an Everton triumph
If Everton do somehow convince Jarrad Branthwaite to stick around for another season, it will be a miracle.
And, it would also mark a much-needed change in the narrative, which has so often seen the Toffees get bullied in situations like this.

Whether it be the player’s demands to leave or the club’s desperation to sell, almost always it ends with the star man departing Goodison Park. John Stones, Romelu Lukaku, Richarlison, Wayne Rooney. The list is honestly endless, and stretches back over decades.
So, even if it is only for one more Premier League campaign, retaining the £35k-a-week Branthwaite could prove pivotal in not only shifting that narrative, but also ensuring that Sean Dyche has all the tools needed to guide his side through a historic final season at The Old Lady.
In what promises to be a long, hugely emotional term, Evertonians deserve to enjoy one final swan song in this historic stadium. Ensuring that their best players are there to feature will be a huge part of making that dream a reality.
