Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been quick to share his delight at Everton’s win over Aston Villa.
Taking to Instagram, the striker addressed their progression to the Carabao Cup fourth round after the Toffees enjoyed a 2-1 victory at Villa Park.
Calvert-Lewin has been forced to settle for a place on the bench since returning from a facial injury that he picked up the last time they met Unai Emery’s side.

However, the forward’s impressive cameo appearance that saw him score his first of the campaign against Brentford earned him a place from the start on Wednesday night.
After James Garner gifted Everton a first-half lead, Calvert-Lewin made it two when he capitalised on a Villa mistake and claimed the club’s second win in a row.
The 26-year-old quickly took to his Instagram to react to the surprise result in the Midlands, writing ‘Next round!’ alongside a photo of him celebrating his goal.
Are things looking up for Dominic Calvert-Lewin?
Calvert-Lewin also received support from his former teammate Ashley Williams, who immediately responded to his Instagram post with a black tick emoji.
The Welshman spent three years with Calvert-Lewin at Goodison Park, though left Merseyside before the attacker became one of the Premier League’s most in-form strikers before he was struck with injuries.

Calvert-Lewin will be desperate to keep away from the treatment room from now on and will be hoping the past few days can be a sign of what’s to come from him this season. The England international is clearly benefiting from some fierce competition from summer signing Beto.
The former Udinese striker had taken his place in the starting line-up in recent matches, however he is yet to score his first goal in the English top flight. There has been calls for the pair to start up to together, however, until then, Beto could struggle to force his way back into the starting line-up.
