Eagle-eyed Everton fans think they’ve spotted a major Sky Sports blunder in Liverpool clash

Everton fans were left disappointed on Wednesday night following their Merseyside Derby loss against Liverpool.

David Moyes’ men suffered their first defeat after a run of nine Premier League games unbeaten since January.

There may well be some feeling Everton could have actually taken more from the game at Anfield.

Mark Clattenburg has questioned Liverpool’s goal, with Luis Diaz said to have been in an active offside position in the build-up.

Everton remained in the game despite going up against the side who look set to lift the Premier League title.

They may have left without the points, but some Everton fans feel they may have noticed something hilarious about the ‘famous Anfield atmosphere’.

Everton fans mock Sky Sports blunder at Anfield

Jordan Pickford laughed at Liverpool fans during the game as they gave him a not-so-warm welcome to the Kop end in the second half.

However, there have been some serious questions asked over the ‘famous’ You’ll Never Walk Alone anthem before the game.

Some Everton fans believe Sky Sports were playing an audio recording over the actual anthem to make it sound louder than it actually was.

@theevertonendSpeakers malfunctioning playing YWNA pre-kick off there.
@1878louisIncase we ever needed more proof…
@ashleybolland_Did anfield just do 2 versions of ynwa or did sky pump sound in hahahahah
@fagsy14Sky overdubbing YNWA to make it sound louder
@jackefc95Were Sky Sports playing a recording of YNWA hahahahaha
@chrisw91xThat wasn’t sky sports playing ynwa crowd noise was it

The irony in all of this comes after Arne Slot hailed the Goodison Park atmosphere earlier in the season.

It was not a great look for either Liverpool or Sky Sports with the apparent audio error bringing the Anfield atmosphere under further questioning.

Everton fans will be hoping for a big Bramley-Moore Dock atmosphere

After seeing their rivals come under scrutiny for their atmosphere before the game on Wednesday night, Everton fans will be hoping for a lot more in their new stadium.

Everton make the move to Bramley-Moore Dock in just a matter of months time now, with two test events already under their belt.

Tim Howard has been stunned by the size of Bramley-Moore Dock, but often the bigger stadiums lose their atmosphere due to their sheer size.

Fans will be hoping this is not the case after seeing first-hand how their rivals struggled to create much of an atmosphere in the Merseyside Derby build-up.
