England fans have had a lot to say following the latest victory over Serbia, which saw Everton’s Jordan Pickford keep another clean sheet.
The Three Lions had already qualified for next year’s World Cup, but Pickford retained his spot in Thomas Tuchel’s starting XI.
Everton’s goalkeeper is the country’s number one and it is apparent Tuchel has no desire to start mixing things up.
Pickford is dreaming of lifting the World Cup next summer in the United States; even more so than lifting silverware with Everton.
With another clean sheet in the bag for the 31-year-old, it is now onto Sunday’s game against Albania to wrap up Pickford’s international duty for the year.
But there are some England fans who do not agree with what one former England goalkeeper has said about the Everton shot stopper.

What Paul Robinson had to say about Everton’s Jordan Pickford
Lee Dixon criticised Pickford once again during Thursday night’s game against Serbia.
However, Paul Robinson was full of praise for Pickford after his showing at Wembley Stadium, with another clean sheet in the bag.
“I think the thing you can say about Jordan Pickford is he’s undisputedly England’s number one,” said Robinson.
“There’s always talks about England goalkeepers. Who should and who shouldn’t play. I think the biggest credit you can give him is that conversation isn’t around.
“There’s a lot of good English goalkeepers. There’s a plethora of talent in that pool, but actually there’s no noise about who should play going into the World Cup.”
The national media praised Pickford on what was a quiet evening, but there were a lot of England fans disagreeing with Robinson.
England fans share controversial message on Jordan Pickford
Ben Foster has hailed Pickford for what he has achieved in his career with both Everton and England.
The 31-year-old has received some bizarre criticism over the years despite not stepping a foot wrong for the Three Lions.
Numerous England fans took to social media to disagree with what Robinson had to say.
One fan did not mince his words, saying: ‘…arguably the worst era for English goalkeepers in living memory…best of a bad bunch…’ Whilst another fan said: ‘Been playing pub teams . Behave will ya . Hyped up England again , never learn these journalists. copy and paste.’
Pickford has not conceded a single goal for England in over one year now across the nine games since last October.
Some fans were keen to stress the opposition Pickford has faced, one fan said: ‘Name the nine opponents.’ One other England fan suggested he wasn’t even among the top five Three Lions goalkeepers, they said: ‘Not in top 5’.
The lack of quality opponents is clearly something some fans won’t overlook, with another saying: ‘Not played anyone big really.’ And another fan even said: ‘Great when he plays against [poor teams]… Rubbish when he plays against decent sides.’
