Everton have been drawing up a list of potential targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
Arsenal right-back Ben White has been linked to Everton in recent weeks, and so too has his teammate Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Sheffield United playmaker Gustavo Hamer is also thought to be on David Moyes’ radar, with a £17m deal mooted.
Which former Everton target do you wish the club had signed? 🫣
With that said, we’ve revisited some old quotes from Enzo Maresca about the new Everton transfer target.

Enzo Maresca is a big admirer of Everton target Gustavo Hamer
Speaking back in 2024, when Hamer was plying his trade at Coventry City, then-Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca heaped praise on the Toffees transfer target.
“And I think Hamer is probably one of the best in the Championship,” Maresca stated.
“Yeah, yeah, absolutely, I know him from before. I was working last year but at the same time when you enjoy football you watch all the competition and all of the good players, and he’s one of the… probably the best player in the Championship.”
Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?
The following names have been suggested by fans on TalkingPoints…
Hamer has the most assists in the second tier this season, despite operating in a pretty poor Sheffield United side.
If the former Netherlands youth international were to join the Toffees, he’d be a back-up option to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, although he’d get plenty of game time if the club were in Europe.
Evidently, Moyes and his chiefs are planning for that possible outcome, as they’ll need a much bulkier squad.
