Erling Haaland has shared his appreciation for Everton legend Duncan Ferguson amid the World Cup.
The former Everton striker is currently working for ITV Sport as one of their pundits during this summer’s tournament over in the United States.
Ferguson will be hoping to see Scotland progress past the group stages following their opening day win against Haiti.
What did you make of Jordan Pickford during England’s opener against Croatia? 😬
Whilst away in the States, Ferguson bumped into the Norway midfielder Sander Berge, with Haaland sharing his thoughts over social media.

Wayne Rooney hailed Ferguson the strongest striker ever after growing up watching the Scot and even playing alongside him at Finch Farm.
Ferguson is the classic, old-school number nine from the late nineties/early noughties, which Haaland does have some resemblance to.
Taking to Instagram, Ferguson shared the image of himself and Berge inside their hotel gym, saying: “Lovely to have a chat with @sanderberge8 in the gym this morning, here to cheer on and play for Norway 🇳🇴 of course looking forward to seeing him do his stuff for @fulhamfc next season in the Premier League.”

Berge’s international teammate Haaland saw the post and shared the reply: ‘Two legends’.
Jamie Carragher admitted he hated playing against Ferguson because of just how physical the Scot was up front for the Blues.
Ferguson was a striker who would invoke fear into the opposition defenders and there are certainly shades of that in Haaland’s game.
Although the Norway international may not have the same level of nastiness that some may attribute to Ferguson, he still has the physical stature that would concern defenders across the game.
Haaland has been a big supporter of Jack Grealish at Everton as the Manchester City striker regularly took to social media to show himself watching the Toffees in action.
For a player of his level, he manages to showcase the human side to his life pretty well through his social media channels.
And anyone who rates Ferguson will be fairly well accepted by those on the blue half of Merseyside.
