Everton are languishing towards the foot of the Premier League table heading into the busy festive period.
Sean Dyche’s men have endured a really tough season so far and look set to be involved in a relegation scrap.

Everton have won just three of their opening 14 games so far and only Southampton have netted fewer goals.
So, evidently, they need to bring in attacking reinforcements this January transfer window to solve their profligate attack.
With that said, it’s just come to light that Everton are keeping tabs on a striker who’s currently ripping it up on the continent.

Everton interested in Santiago Castro
Everton’s current forward options Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto just haven’t delivered this season, netting a combined three league goals.
As such, it seems The Toffees are in the market for a new striker this winter and according to Caught Offside, they’re interested in Bologna’s Santiago Castro.
Castro has been in sensational form for the Serie A side this term, registering 11 goal involvements in 16 starts.
Such form has alerted a number of other clubs around the Premier League, including Arsenal, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are also monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation.
Bologna could sanction his sale if they receive an offer of around £32m.
Castro tipped to be the next Carlos Tevez
Analyst Ben Mattinson has tipped Castro to be the next Carlos Tevez, which is high praise indeed.
If he even enjoys half the career Tevez had, Everton will be getting a terrific player who could lead the line for the next decade.
Castro is already a regular for Argentina’s under-23s and clearly isn’t too far off making his senior debut.
However, with Everton’s takeover yet to be finalised, it remains to be seen if they can afford to outlay £32m on his signature this winter.
