Everton are already in talks to sign ‘magic’ £6m striker after booking Jesper Lindstrom medical

Everton are seemingly closing in on their fourth signing of the summer, and this arguably promises to be the most exciting.

After all, Iliman Ndiaye does promise to bring some magic, and Tim Iroegbunam represents an acquisition out of the unknown, yet the new player in question seems to offer a little bit of both to leave fans desperate to see him in royal blue.

It is clear that the club’s silence in the market over the last few weeks was purely tied to Amadou Onana’s move to Aston Villa, and now that it has been ratified, their spending can continue.

So, not only will Evertonians soon be able to welcome Jesper Lindstrom to Goodison Park, but apparently another striker could not be far behind too…

Everton close in on Jesper Lindstrom transfer

After weeks of speculation and apparent negotiations, yesterday marked a breakthrough in Everton’s efforts to acquire the Danish winger.

In fact, it was even reported by The Athletic that a medical had been booked, with that report reading: ‘Talks have progressed with both clubs around Lindstrom joining on an initial loan with an option to buy, and should everything go according to plan, the 24-year-old will travel for a medical this week ahead of a proposed move to Goodison Park.’

However, this latest one comes courtesy of the Italian media once again, with TuttoSport the latest to provide an update on the Toffees.

Their focus is not on Lindstrom’s Everton move though, but instead Arkadiusz Milik, who the Toffees have already entered talks to sign,

They claim that the Toffees had enquired about his services as recently as last week, and that chats are ongoing, but they might face some Premier League pushback from the likes of West Ham United and Brentford.

Juventus only want a fee of around €8m (£6m).

Who is Arkadiusz Milik?

Having started his career back in his homeland Poland, this 30-year-old marksman has really been around the block, but has remained a solid goalscorer where he has gone.

However, spells with Napoli, Ajax and Marseille were particularly proficient, as the 6 foot 1 marksman showcased his penchant for finding the net regularly whilst also linking the play with his fine physique.

Able to play all across the front line and alongside another striker due to his sharp movement and ability to both score and create, his uniqueness was only further emphasised when journalist Robin Bairner lauded the forward for being capable of ‘a moment of magic’ to win games for his team.

Everton could use this kind of player.

It is quite clear why Sean Dyche would want him too, as when compared to other strikers across Europe, he sits in the top 12% for total shots per 90, that op 13% for shot-creating actions per 90 and the top 7% for interceptions per 90.

A constant threat who can lead and attack and a press, this might be a really shrewd signing should Kevin Thelwell muster up some agreeable wages for the Serie A star.
