Everton fans have been left absolutely furious having seen Fulham defender Kenny Tete avoid a red card on Wednesday evening.

The frustrations come on the back of Michael Keane’s red card during Everton’s game against Wolves back in January.

Refereeing decisions have completely dominated discussions across the Premier League once again this season.

David Moyes was not pleased with Jake O’Brien’s red card on Tuesday in the defeat to Bournemouth at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The 62-year-old will undoubtedly be left absolutely bemused having seen Tete get away with an almost identical incident against Manchester City.

Everton fans left baffled by contradiction in Kenny Tete controversy

The mood around Finch Farm is clear as Everton have responded over social media to the Tete incident.

Through Everton News’ Facebook page, fans shared their own responses as yet another controversial refereeing decision emerged.

One Everton fan was not impressed at all, saying: ‘They experiment on Everton first if they like it they go on with it otherwise forget it’.

Another fan added: ‘Need EFC to write to the FA and ask for an explanation of the difference.’

The feeling was so clear across the fanbase, with another fan saying: ‘Appalling inconsistencies…’

Everton have already seen a number of players sent off this season and there have been real controversies to come from those decisions.

One fan feels Everton have been harshly officiated, they said: ‘VAR chooses what it wants to see. Seems like when we score, my eyes get drawn to the officials in case we have committed a foul in the build up or the goal itself.’

Another Everton fan said: ‘How many times do Everton have to be refereed differently before something is done about it.’

Capping things off, there was one fan who even claimed: ‘Demand some answers off this VAR crew and the FA.’

David Moyes will be furious after PGMOL rebuffed Everton’s Michael Keane appeal

After the sending off for Keane, Everton attempted to get the decision overturned by appealing the red card.

Moyes was furious with the panel for not overturning Keane’s suspension, with the veteran defender then serving a three-game ban.

“Hugely disappointed! Hugely surprised and probably more angry with the panel who chose that thought that was the case,” he said.

“There’s a panel that sits and does it and I have to question the three of them. I know who the three are and I’m absolutely amazed that in some way they didn’t overturn it.”

Moyes will not speak to the media for another week, but he will certainly be asked about the Tete incident.
