Everton added a number of players who’ve brought that star quality to Merseyside over the summer transfer window.
Due to the sheer number of players leaving Everton at the end of last season, there was only so much business the club could pull off.
David Moyes is eyeing more signings in January in what will provide the 62-year-old with an opportunity to really fine tune his squad.
At the end of the summer, Moyes admitted not every Everton need was addressed in the market, opening the door to more purchases in January.
Everton News columnist Alan Myers has urged Everton to sign a new midfielder, with the current options taking a blow over recent weeks.
And it seems as if that is exactly what the Toffees are looking to do.

Everton are eyeing move for Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher
Idrissa Gana Gueye leaves Everton next week for AFCON, and he will not be returning until some point in January.
Although Everton have seen Tim Iroegbunam return from suspension, the Toffees still feel that more quality is needed.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Everton are a side to watch in the race for Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid.
How much would you be happy for Everton to spend on Conor Gallagher? 💰
He could elevate the squad to European level…
“So yes, Gallagher could be a possibility because he’s one of the more feasible midfielder names not just for Manchester United,” Jacobs said on The Done Deal Show.
“Everton are keeping an eye on the situation and also West Ham who want to add a midfielder, a defender and a number nine in the January transfer window.”
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has played in the deeper midfield spot over recent games, and there is a real desire not to lose James Garner as a free agent.
However, adding a player like Gallagher could be exactly what Everton need to continue their progression to becoming a European side.
What Declan Rice has said about Conor Gallagher
It has already been suggested that Gallagher is keen to return to the England squad, and playing in the Premier League may offer him an improved shot at the World Cup squad.
The 25-year-old has endured a real struggle this season under Diego Simeone, but he is a player who Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice absolutely adores.
Where could you see Everton finishing if they signed Conor Gallagher in January? 🤩
Everton are considering recalling Harrison Armstrong in January from his loan deal with Preston North End.
But if they are able to bring in a player of Gallagher’s calibre then this could be another huge coup for the Blues.
