Everton have made contact with Southampton over a move for Che Adams.
That’s according to the Liverpool Echo, have reported they have reignited their interest in the striker.
Adams joined Southampton from Birmingham City for £15 million four years ago and has bagged 31 goals and 15 assists in all competitions since.
The Scotland international made 28 appearances last season as the Saints were relegated to the Championship and he could now be set for a swift return to the top flight, with Everton joining the likes of Crystal Palace and Fulham in pursuit.
Adams only has a year remaining on his contract at St Mary’s Stadium and so could be available on the cheap if Southampton decide to cash in on him this summer.
The 27-year-old could join Youssef Chermiti as their latest new signings, with the Sporting Lisbon striker nearing a switch to Goodison Park in a £15m deal – though it is unclear whether the Toffees’ finances will stretch far enough for both players.

Che Adams is a huge fan of an Everton defender
Che Adams is already very familiar with one Everton star in Nathan Patterson, having spent the last two years playing for the Scotland national team together.
The Toffees defender made his international debut in May 2021 – two months after Adams committed his allegiance to Scotland.
Adams was full of praise for his compatriot as the duo contributed to Scotland’s win over Moldova in November 2021, with Patterson laying the ball on a plate for the striker to net his third goal of the game.
Following the victory, Adams said: “Nathan’s an amazing player and a great guy off the pitch so I’m delighted for him.
“He’s a good young prospect coming through for the nation and hopefully he can continue and keep adding goals as well.
“These guys give us hope for the future. To keep getting club minutes is important, to keep building and growing as a player and learn their craft.”
