Everton are looking for their first win in almost two months on Saturday against Nottingham Forest.

David Moyes has done a fine job to get the Toffees almost to mathematical safety with eight games remaining

However, Everton fans are now long overdue a victory despite their side improving considerably in comparison to the Sean Dyche days.

A tricky game awaits the Blues this weekend, but Everton look to have Vitaliy Mykolenko available after he missed the draw against Arsenal.

Everton will have to be at it if they’re going to take anything from a Forest side who are sat all the way up in third spot of the table.

The 61-year-old has been handed some real injury boosts over recent days and there could be another big name making his return to the starting XI.

Dwight McNeil impresses in Everton training

Iliman Ndiaye returned from injury with Everton’s equaliser in the game against Arsenal on the weekend.

He was not alone as Dwight McNeil was also included in the squad, but had to settle for a spot on the bench.

McNeil has now been spotted in Everton training ahead of the game on the weekend at the City Ground and he looks to be in fine form.

The footage shared by the club on Thursday afternoon showed the £20m man whipping in some quality crosses.

Even the club recognise what they’ve missed, as the media team captioned the post: ‘We’ve missed seeing those deliveries from Dwight.’

This is exactly what Beto will want to see, with the Portuguese forward struggling of late in front of goal.

Jack Harrison has been criticised this season after a really poor showing from the Englishman during his latest Everton loan spell.

However, Beto may well have improved quality in the passes he will be receiving on Saturday against the Reds as McNeil looks set to make his return.

Dwight McNeil must start for Everton vs Nottingham Forest

After undergoing surgery earlier in the year, McNeil has now been back in training for three weeks, but he is yet to make his first start.

Against the Gunners, Everton only managed to land two of their attempted 14 crosses.

Clearly, there is a lot of room for improvement in that department against Forest on the weekend.

McNeil has been praised for his set-piece quality, and that is another area of Everton’s game which has faltered in his absence.

After his showing in Finch Farm training, McNeil simply has to start against Forest.
