Everton fans all fuming as The Friedkin Group make their ‘first mistake’

Everton already find themselves in a much more comfortable position with the Friedkin Group in charge, but a recent decision they’ve made has not gone down well.

The recent Premier League result against Nottingham Forest has left a sour taste in the mouths of fans, as let’s be honest, Everton looked absolutely awful.

Sean Dyche had managed to turn things around slightly with a run of impressive performances against some tough sides, but it looks as if normal service has resumed.

Of course, the Merseyside side derby cancellation means Everton have a game in hand, but that doesn’t change the fact that Wolves and Ipswich are now just one and two points away.

With that being said, a decision that the Friedkin Group have made at Everton certainly hasn’t improved the mood among fans.

Everton fans react to news that Sean Dyche won’t be sacked

These Everton fans, when speaking on X, all said the same thing about news that Sean Dyche’s job is currently safe (iNews).

“Well, theres TFG’s first mistake, they will lose a lot of fans trust, and it will get toxic. Silly, silly, he will still be sacked before the end of the season but they will have less options.”, @Coal1878 said.

@geoff4jones stated: “Not exactly the news the majority of EFC fans want to hear to start 2025 off maybe nothing much is going to change after all.”

“Well I won’t be going again until he’s gone!”, @willow_71uk made a threat.

What exactly has been said about Sean Dyche’s future?

Well, Mark Douglas has reported that there are no plans for a managerial change at Everton and that there is backing for Sean Dyche as he enters the final months of his contract.

This fits in line with the policy the Friedkin Group are taking up of just wanting to avoid relegation, with very little ambition until the new stadium arrives.

However, the risk they run is slipping into the relegation zone as there’s now just two points between Ipswich.

Another difficulty is the options out there that would actually want to come to Everton with the current squad, as some of the blame needs to be put on the players too, especially up top.
