Everton have just released the new 2025/26 home kit.

As pre-season quickly approaches, Everton have now officially unveiled next year’s home strip inspired by the banks of the River Mersey.

It features a wave pattern throughout with a clean white collar, drawing resemblance to the famous 1987 kit.

However, there is one aspect that many fans feel ruins it.

Everton fans all have the same criticism about the new 2025/26 home kit

Everton fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out how the Stake sponsorship ruins the strip.

“Really nice kit without that awful sponsor,” @Callum_Hughes0 said.

“Not the biggest fan but the fact you can buy it without a sponsor is the way forward, looks so much better without it,” @jamiebriscoe posted.

@jnd_90 added: “That 1987 collar. I like it you know. Just wish the sponsor didn’t ruin it.”

“Awful shirt. Awful sponsor,” @Bernu admitted.

“Ruined by that godawful sponsor. Can’t wait until it’s gone,” @wharton_john noted.

@PartiMarti77 commented: “Better without the sponsor.”

@edgeloading explained: “Liking the socks on the new Everton kit, have always preferred them blue. The top is a bit meh and the sponsor is still as rancid.”

Everton give fans the option to purchase kit without the sponsor

Interestingly, Everton have actually made sponsorless shirts available to buy, which fans are delighted to see.

Starting from the 2026/27 season, gambling companies like Stake will be prohibited from appearing on the front of Premier League shirts.

So, this will be the final season Stake will be on the Toffees’ strip, leaving Dan Friedkin and his chiefs to negotiate a new sponsorship over the next 12 months.

The Stake sponsor banked Everton around £10m-a-year, making it the ninth most lucrative deal in the top-flight.
