Everton are being linked with a move to sign Troy Parrott ahead of the summer transfer window.
It has just emerged that AZ Alkmaar have reduced Parrott’s price to around £15m, which seems like a golden opportunity for Everton to land his signature.
The Toffees could reignite their interest in the Republic of Ireland international, as David Moyes is reportedly ‘fixated’ on recruiting another striker.
Would Troy Parrott be an upgrade on Thierno Barry and Beto? 🇮🇪
With that said, supporters have been reacting to the fresh rumours about Parrott’s price tag on TalkingPoints and on our Facebook.
Everton fans would absolutely love to sign Troy Parrott
After hearing from Everton fans, it’s become pretty apparent that they’d absolutely love to sign Parrott this summer.
- “Would jump at that price tag, even more so if you look at his wages.”
- “15mil? Make the offer now! He is not going to be just half a Barry for sure at that price.”
- “Deffo 10 times better than what we have already.”
- “Be a great signing.”
- “He can come in and hit ground running. Strike rate better than Barry, Beto and DCL when he was younger. Would be tempted to get him and Delap.”
- “Would be a steal at £15m.”
Parrott, quite remarkably, has scored quadruple the number of goals Thierno Barry has managed this term.
Admittedly, he is in a weaker league, but it’s clear the 24-year-old is a much more natural finisher, and he does know the English game well.
The former Tottenham Hotspur frontman is reportedly open to a return to the Premier League after spending almost two years out in Holland.
Everton are looking at other striking options, as Atletico Madrid’s Alexander Sorloth has been linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Remember him at Crystal Palace… would you like to see Sorloth at the Hill Dickinson Stadium? 👀
Fulham’s Raul Jimenez is also believed to be on Moyes’ radar, as his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
Jiminez is 34-years-old, so if he were to join, surely the Toffees would also bring in a younger option, too.
