David Moyes’ Everton just about did it again, as the Toffees extended their unbeaten run to nine after late drama against West Ham.

It finally looked like Everton had finally been defeated against West Ham, but Jake O’Brien salvaged a dramatic point for Moyes’ side to draw 1-1.

Moyes won’t be happy with the Toffees’ performance, but the Scotsman can’t be too fussed after O’Brien’s heroics.

Everton target Tomas Soucek haunted Moyes with what looked like the winning goal, as the Everton boss might make a firm decision to sign the Hammers midfielder in the summer.

The result is all that matters, but eyebrows have certainly been raised at Abdoulaye Doucoure’s performance on Saturday afternoon.

Everton fans on Abdoulaye Doucoure after West Ham draw

It wasn’t a good day for Doucoure, who has bettered his performances since Moyes came in.

The owners have seemingly made their feelings clear with the midfielder, as Everton rejected Doucoure’s one-year contract extension.

Well, it seems like Evertonians will agree with that decision as it was a day to forget for the 32-year-old against Graham Potter’s West Ham.

Fans have come out on Twitter and let their feelings be known about Doucoure, as his future could surely only be pointing one way.

@notJoth said: “We need to jib sentiment, Doucoure been a decent servant but we have to move him on and replace.”

@ToffeeJimmy claimed: “Doucoure is not a footballer, never has been.”

“Play doucoure, and that’s what u get,” @Lewis1878 said after Soucek’s opener.

@BigSkinny95 summed it up by saying, “Doucoure. Another game. Another day unable to pass.”

Doucoure’s statistics vs West Ham speaks volumes to Everton future

It was seen in the game, but as soon as Doucoure got substituted for Jesper Lindstrom in the 68th minute, the momentum in the game changed.

A draw was probably a fair result in the end, even after Everton were awarded an ‘awful’ penalty decision, which was rightfully overturned.

But Doucoure didn’t help matters, and his numbers against West Ham may suggest Moyes has a big decision to make for future games.

In a frustrating afternoon, it seems like Doucoure’s performance was bailed out by O’Brien, but Evertonians won’t forget what was a lacklustre display for the Mali international.
