Everton have heard a whole host of rumours involving Jarrad Branthwaite recently, and now it looks like another team has joined the race.

Jarrad Branthwaite has been nothing short of sensational since breaking into the Everton side, with his one performance against Crystal Palace this season showing how important he is.

An injury has hampered him against after the game with Branthwaite now having a 50% chance of facing Ipswich Town, so we will see if he pulls through.

Of course, Michael Keane and James Tarkowski did a solid job last time out against Newcastle, there will be no real concern from Sean Dyche.

The Everton boss won’t want to risk rushing Branthwaite back into things knowing he could suffer a reoccurrence with important games to come.

Regardless, another team has joined the race to sign Branthwaite and Everton fans are in disbelief.

Manchester United interested in signing Jarrad Branthwaite

According to TeamTalk, Manchester United are determined to sign Jarrad Branthwaite.

It’s been claimed that Man United have identified Branthwaite as a perfect signing to help them build a team capable of challenging for top honours in the coming years.

The Manchester club are firmly in the mix to sign the Everton star next year after previously missing out on him, though the Toffees want £80 million.

It remains to be seen as to whether Branthwaite would even entertain a move to Manchester United, but should they put up £80 million then it may be difficult for the Toffees to reject.

Liverpool have also registered an interest in Branthwaite, so United won’t be the only club.

Everton fans in disbelief over Manchester United rumour

These Everton fans, when speaking on X, can’t believe Branthwaite would join Manchester United.

“I still want a £5m house but that’s not happening either.”, @cattywhites2 said.

@DannyH_95 thinks it’s a downgrade: “Branthwaite will be going to a bigger club than Man United.”

@CrawfordTartan stated: “No chance in their current state. New owners, new incredible stadium, investment in the squad, loved by the fans , future club captain. He’s better off staying at Everton for a couple of seasons then go if he wants….he’ll likely have a wide choice .”

@Moo34242739Gary mentioned: “Why would he want to go to a relegation threatened team.”

“Branthwaite can do better than United.”, @sophefc2023 couldn’t quite believe it.

@AlextheladGray commented: “Everton want Mbappe despite Real Madrid stance. Guess that makes me a journalist now.”
