Everton are still in the market for a striker this summer transfer window.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja have left a void up front, which has so far only been filled by Thierno Barry.
As such, David Moyes remains in the market for another number nine, though, one that’ll be a back-up to Barry.
The Toffees have looked at Millwall’s Mihailo Ivanovic, whilst free agent Callum Wilson was also eyed before he joined West Ham United.
Now, there is a fresh link to a striker on the continent, and fans are pretty split on the rumour.

Everton fans react to interest in Franculino Dju
Everton are interested in signing Franculino Dju, who has enjoyed a prolific start to the new season with FC Midtjylland.
Everton fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, with mixed opinions on the potential deal.
@yothisiswack posted: “Why on Earth are we not focused on areas of real need on the pitch, man. Spending this money on a 4th striker when we don’t have a real RB or RW is insane.”
@Stylo_____ added: “Right winger. please. Please sign a right winger.”
“This is one I would like to see come off. Loads of potential there,” @PaulosEFC commented.
@RC021878 noted: “Really promising player rather use him and Barry and ship Beto.”
Franculino Dju is very versatile
The potential Dju signing does make a lot of sense because he would plug two positions.
The 2004-born can operate as a striker and as a right-winger, so his versatility would certainly be valuable for Moyes and his staff.
- Career appearances: 104
- Goals: 55
- Assists: 16
Dju can even play as a second striker, which gives Everton the opportunity to put two forwards up top, so there is a lot to like about the Guinea-Bissau international.
Plus, at £17m, it wouldn’t exactly break the bank and if Beto were to be sold for the £21m that has been suggested, it’d even bank the Friedkin Group a profit, allowing funds to be allocated elsewhere.
