Everton have a decision to make on Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish this summer.

Jack Grealish is currently on a season-long loan, but Everton do have an option to buy him for around £50m.

Fabrizio Romano expects the Toffees to negotiate that Grealish fee down, although there hasn’t been a final decision on whether they’ll sign him.

Toffees fans have been debating on TalkingPoints about if the club should push the boat out and sign Grealish.

Here’s what they had to say.

Everton fans agree that Jack Grealish should be signed for £30m

We asked our TalkingPoints community if Everton should sign Grealish for a negotiated-down price of £30m.

Would you even pay £30m for Jack Grealish? 🫣

The general consensus among the supporters was very much pro that idea.

“Would pay 30 mil definitely, he’s only 30 and speed isn’t his game. There’s another 3 or 4 good years in him and he’d be better with better players, Dewsbury-Hall as an example,” one fan wrote.

Another stated: “All Day Long! The guy is clever and brings a bit of guile to add to his skill sets, and he clearly cares about Everton! Do not repeat the DCL gaffe and let him leave the club!!!”

“Yes deffo he’s class and he’s got at least 3 top seasons in him and then there’s a bit player/coach after that maybe. He’ll have to take quite a large pay cut, though. That could be the stumbling block,” one posted.

One user simply said: “Yes 100%.”

Another added: “Not £30m he’s 31 this year.”

“25 yes,” one commented.

Jack Grealish needs to improve his numbers to sign permanently

Grealish made a brilliant start to the season and quickly racked up the assists, but since then, his output has slowed down.

The 39-cap England international has laid on six assists in the Premier League, and four of those came in his first two games.

Would Kevin Schade be a better signing than Jack Grealish?

Grealish has only scored twice, so that side of his game must improve if Everton are to shell out around £30m on his signature.

The 30-year-old, who is the highest-paid player at the club, still has a lot to prove in the second half of the season.
