The January transfer window is proving to be a huge opportunity for Everton on the back of their recent injury setbacks.

David Moyes was already keen to add quality next month, but further issues have now made the winter market become massively important for the Blues.

Everton News columnist Alan Myers is hoping for Everton to make three signings in January, with a full-back, midfielder and striker all on his wish list.

Injuries may certainly prove a headache for the 62-year-old manager heading into the final weeks of the year, as his options become extremely limited.

Everton have been on a much-improved run of form recently, but face a difficult end to the year with Arsenal visiting the Hill Dickinson Stadium next.

Jack Grealish is an injury doubt going into the game and will prove a big miss, with Everton already considering the next steps for his time on Merseyside.

Everton given green light to sign Jack Grealish from Manchester City

After the game against Chelsea, Moyes shared a Grealish injury update, with the 30-year-old winger feeling his hamstring late on in the match.

No further news has emerged on how serious the issue is, but the Manchester City loanee will prove a big miss if he does sit out any games.

Speaking on the Men in Blazers podcast, Fabrizio Romano has shared what he has heard about Grealish’s long-term future at Everton.

Finish the sentence: Next season, Jack Grealish will be playing for…

Why would Grealish even want to return to Man City? 🤣

“I think it’s a possibility to find a solution with Manchester City because, what I’m told is, Jack Grealish has no way back at Manchester City. So, they believe that chapter is completely closed,” he said.

“And that’s good news for Everton. He’s very happy at Everton. So, I think they have a chance to find a solution if all parties go in the same direction.”

The 30-year-old has settled in very well at Everton, with Grealish forming a brother-like bond with Jake O’Brien.

Working under Moyes has seen the Man City loanee rediscover some of his best form, which Everton fans will surely want to see beyond this season.

Fabrizio Romano shares Iliman Ndiaye update from Everton

Iliman Ndiaye has now departed for the Africa Cup of Nations, where his talent will be on display once again to the global stage.

The Senegal international has been nothing short of exceptional again this season for the Blues.

At the weekend, Chelsea fans were left stunned by Ndiaye, despite it proving to be one of his quieter games.

Frustratingly, Ndiaye’s future has already been speculated by the likes of Romano, and he did provide his thoughts on the winger’s future.

“It’s not easy because when you have this kind of quality player there is always attention in the market,” he said.

“At the moment, I would say keep calm and enjoy the player. Then, let’s see because in the summer after the World Cup, things are going to move. But at the moment I don’t want to spread panic.”
