Everton’s summer transfer window is yet to really take off, with only Carlos Alcaraz’s signature secured.

Time is still on Everton’s side with around two months remaining in the transfer market.

David Moyes has been spotted at the Club World Cup in what some may believe is a scouting mission, as he took in Benfica vs Boca Juniors in Miami.

Plenty of work will be going on behind the scenes as Moyes enjoys his time away from Merseyside.

And there is a considerable amount of work needing to be done with Everton’s squad seeing a huge turnover this summer.

Moyes is expecting to be backed by the Everton owners, but he is also aware that the Toffees are going to need to work smart in the market.

When Everton will make their second signing

Everton are looking to address four key positions this summer, but that could be increased if Idrissa Gana Gueye does not stick around.

A number of targets are being thrown about in the opening weeks of the summer window despite only one signing having been completed.

According to iNews, Everton’s summer activity is set to get a lot busier over the final week of the month and into July.

The Toffees are believed to be looking to transform their squad before pre-season even starts.

A lot of work is needed for Everton to make a bright start to pre-season with two friendlies planned before the Summer Series in the United States.

Everton expect Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Michael Keane to leave, which leaves them with just a couple of players potentially extending their stay.

Angus Kinnear and his recruitment staff have their work cut out.

Who could be Everton’s second signing

Everton are keen to sign Kyle Walker from Manchester City as the veteran defender has been told to find a new club.

But he is not the only City player who is on Everton’s radar this summer.

It is also believed Everton want Jack Grealish on a possible loan basis, as he finds himself in a similar boat to Walker.

Everton are prioritising a new striker signing with Calvert-Lewin expected to depart over the coming weeks.

Thierno Barry is on Everton’s radar, and that position is perhaps what fans want to see addressed first.
