Richarlison is still highly regarded by Everton fans, many of whom loved watching the Brazilian score for Tottenham Hotspur against Liverpool at the weekend.

After Everton lost 2-0 to Arsenal on Saturday night, there were a lot of eyes on the 4:30pm kick-off on Sunday, with Spurs interim boss Igor Tudor going into the game under massive pressure after losing all four games he’d taken beforehand.

But Tottenham managed to take a decent point in the end.

And it was that man Richarlison who popped up with a very late equaliser, to potentially prevent Tudor from being sacked.

And that goal actually saw Richarlison – who was jeered throughout by Liverpool fans due to his Everton connection – make a bit of history.

As per Squawka, Richarlison has now become the first visiting player ever to score two goals past the 90th minute at Anfield.

Before his late strike yesterday, Richarlison had struck at Liverpool’s home back in April 2023.

Diogo Jota would score after Richarlison’s equaliser though to hand the hosts all three points with a 4-3 win.

Richarlison has certainly enjoyed facing Liverpool over the years, and his showings against them these days are perhaps fuelled by the fact he played for Everton.

He scored two goals for the Toffees against Liverpool, and has hit a further four against them since joining Spurs.

Everton must explore Richarlison move if Tottenham get relegated

Despite Spurs getting a point on Sunday, there is still a very real possibility that they could go down.

At the moment, they’re just one point above the relegation zone.

If that does happen, there will be an exodus – and Everton ought to be exploring a potential deal for Richarlison.

He remains extremely popular with the fanbase and it has always felt like a return could be possible as a result of that. There have also been loose transfer links every so often.

Many fans would absolutely love to see him back, as there’s no doubt he’s a top player on his day.

His injury record would make any move a risk though. But him gracing the Hill Dickinson Stadium could be something that gifts both the players and the fans a huge lift next season.
