Everton’s good run of form ended at the hands of Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, as they suffered a 2-0 defeat in West London.
Everton fans were critical of Thierno Barry’s performance, as he was completely anonymous up front, although he didn’t get much service at all.
Jake O’Brien didn’t have a great game either, as he was really poor going forward and left David Moyes visibly frustrated on the touchline.
Who was your most disappointing player in Everton’s loss to Chelsea? 😫
One of the most frustrating moments in the game, though, was when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall had to come off through injury in the first-half.
Speaking after the game, David Moyes gave a short injury update on the Everton midfielder.

David Moyes admits Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall felt something heading into the Chelsea game
Dewsbury-Hall came off in the 16th minute for Carlos Alcaraz, and was holding his hamstring as he left the pitch.
Speaking post-match, Moyes explained that the 27-year-old actually felt tightness in his hamstring before the game.
“I’ll find out later what it is, he had a bit of tightness already and then he felt in during the game,” the Scotsman admitted.
Who do YOU want to see more from at Everton with Ndiaye away and KDH likely out? 😫
Moyes added that the Dewsbury-Hall injury was of course a big blow, but he was proud of his team’s performance.
“Losing Kiernan (Dewsbury-Hall) was a blow to us, but I thought we adapted quite well. I know we’ve come away with a disappointing result but it wasn’t a disappointing performance.
“We did a lot of really good things today.”
Tyler Dibling has a big opportunity during this festive period
With Dewsbury-Hall potentially out during this festive period and Iliman Ndiaye jetting off to AFCON, it presents Tyler Dibling with a big chance to show what he’s about.
Dibling has been impressing coaches around Finch Farm, and they’ve actually been really surprised by his lack of game time.
What did you make of Thierno Barry’s display vs Chelsea?
But now the teenager will surely start against Arsenal next weekend, with the number 10 and right-wing position up for grabs.
Moyes has hinted that Dibling will get more minutes this month, so the teenager will be desperate to take it with both hands.
His main competition will be against Dwight McNeil for the spot on the right flank, or potentially Alcaraz in the attacking midfield role.
