Everton’s start to the Premier League campaign will have left a number of questions needing to be answered over the coming weeks.

With five games under their belt, Everton remain bottom of the table with just one point to their name following the weekend’s result.

The trip to Leicester City will have been viewed as the perfect opportunity for the Toffees to get their first win on the board.

But the same issues have remained over the previous three games where Everton have blown their lead to come away with just a single point.

And with their struggles comes a natural frustration from the Everton fans towards Sean Dyche with the results failing to pick up.

Everton have opened talks over Europa League-winning manager

With results failing to improve, Dyche’s future may be coming under question from those at the top.

Farhad Moshiri is believed to have given Dyche his full confidence amid the struggles at Everton but he won’t have an unlimited leash.

And this does come during Everton’s ongoing takeover saga which did take a major turn over the weekend.

According to TeamTalk, Everton have now opened talks with the representatives of Maurizio Sarri as a potential replacement for Dyche.

The Italian is now believed to be viewed as a ‘concrete option’ by those at Goodison Park to potentially become their next manager.

With The Friedkin Group looking set to secure the takeover on Merseyside, Sarri is a manager who has been identified.

And it is even claimed Sarri is already looking at getting some of his former coaching staff members – including the well-respected fitness coach Daniele Tognaccini – to make the move to England.

This is a manager who Pep Guardiola has previously shared his admiration for in an interview with Sky Sports.

Sean Dyche has a huge couple of weeks ahead

These next couple of weeks could be absolutely huge for the future of Dyche as the Everton manager.

This weekend will see Everton return to Goodison Parking as they remain in search of their first win at home this season.

Last weekend’s trip to the King Power Stadium offered a huge opportunity to get Everton truly up and running, but they were unable to capitalise on it.

If Everton continue to go through the next couple of weeks without a win then surely the board are only left with one decision to make.
