Everton fans will be pleased with the business their club has been able to do so far in this summer’s transfer window.
Sean Dyche will also be an excited man on Merseyside following the display he was treated to over the weekend by his side.
The Toffees were able to secure their first victory of the summer in their visit to Deepdale on Saturday which saw Everton run out 3-0 victors.
Two of those goals came from debutantes Jake O’Brien and Jesper Lindstrom in a nod to the positive work being done by Kevin Thelwell.
But it seems as if one of Everton’s pursuits to add to their forward line has been struck down after a decent bid had been lodged.

Everton have sizeable bid rejected for attacker
Saturday’s victory over Preston will have provided the fans with a big boost ahead of their season opener in less than two weeks time.
The Blues were treated to a stunning goal from their new winger Lindstrom who curled in a direct free kick.
There is no better way to make your debut than by scoring a goal of that quality in front of the travelling away fans.
But it now seems as if Lindstrom’s arrival at Goodison Park has now cut short Everton’s plans of landing a specific forward in the remaining weeks of the window.
According to The Athletic, Everton have seen a £23m bid for Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto pushed back already this summer.
The report does, however, caveat by saying Everton’s position does differ on this.
But it is believed Everton were left feeling they were making positive steps in their pursuit of the Italian forward.
However, as Leeds have lost Crysencio Summerville to West Ham, Everton have realised how difficult negotiations will be as they have since pulled out of the running.
Everton no longer in the race for Wilfried Gnonto
Given Leeds have now lost Archie Gray and Summerville, any further departures for big players are likely going to come at a premium.
Daniel Farke will be eyeing a return to the Premier League and to do so he will need his best players to remain at the club between now and the end of the month.
And Gnonto is now certainly one of his top players having been hailed as ‘special‘ since his move to England.
Everton now have just a few weeks to make any further additions to their side ahead of the new season but Saturday’s display has to have acted as a big boost ahead of their season opener.
