Everton’s 777 Partners takeover seems to be cast into more and more doubt every day and now they’ve been sent a worrying verdict.

777 Partners will be getting increasingly frustrated over the fact their takeover of Everton is yet to be approved. This is as they are being hit with lawsuits from all angles in America and concerns are arising over their suitability.

That being said, the takeover going through is Everton’s only option right now as if it doesn’t happen, these loans 777 have handed the Toffees could soon prove costly.

This is something Kieran Maguire told us exclusively, with the loans likely to be a deterrent to other parties who are interested in buying Everton.

Now, Paul Brown has dropped his latest verdict on the takeover and warned Everton that 777 could end up walking away.

Paul Brown on 777 takeover concerns

Speaking with GiveMeSport, the journalist dropped his thoughts over 777 and issued a concerning verdict.

“It is still just a waiting game, unfortunately. I can understand fans frustration on this and it can’t really go on forever from the club’s point of view. Everything is entirely in the hands of the Premier League.

“They need to decide whether these guys are fit and proper people to run Everton or not. There are no deadlines on this and I doubt that the loan money being pumped into the club is a bottomless pit.

“At some point, it’s more likely that 777 Partners walk away or are forced to walk away if they don’t get approval in the next few weeks. It’s difficult to foresee when a decision might be made if a decision is made at all, before 777 Partners decide to act. So Everton fans will just have to be patient.”

Everton could yet have hardship to go

After a dramatic draw this past weekend against Spurs, it’d be acceptable to think the Toffees are on their way to a positive place.

However, it’s unlikely that’ll be the case with 777’s takeover looming and the fact the Premier League could yet slam the club with further sanctions for alleged PSR breaches.

Everton fans being told to remain patient is probably not what fans want to hear, given they have already been patient.
