Everton’s business in this summer’s transfer window has been fairly impressive to date with four players brought through the door.
Sean Dyche must be a pleased man at Goodison Park having seen his Everton side bolstered with four signings who could slot into his starting XI.
However, there is still around four weeks remaining in the transfer window for the Toffees to do some further business.
Although Everton were able to bring in big money, it has to be remembered they lost a big player when they sold Amadou Onana to Aston Villa for around £50m.
The Belgium international’s sale will certainly help with the financial situation on Merseyside, but he will be a considerable loss.
And there has now seemingly been a decision on the future of one of Everton’s midfield targets.

Everton informed of club’s decision on whether to sell £21m midfielder
Although Onana has now departed, Everton have still added to their midfield with the signing of Villa’s Tim Iroegbunam.
There will be question marks as to whether he will be enough to replace the Belgian, however, the 21-year-old has made a bright first impression.
“We threw him in at the deep end with all the youngsters but he is a youngster himself and still developing and learning. We’ve been pleased with him,” Dyche hailed Iroegbunam recently.
However, Everton may have just hit an issue in potentially landing one of their summer targets for bolster their midfield department.

According to journalist Nicola Jorge, Palmeiras have now come to a decision on whether they are willing to sell Richard Rios this summer.
“Palmeiras made a decision in relation to Richard Rios,” he said.
“In the last few days, Galatasaray made an offer of €25m (£21m). That’s a very good number, especially taking into account that Palmeiras spent €7.5m (£6m) to have 70% of his economic rights.
“But the decision they took is that Richard Rios will not be sold before the Super Club World Cup scheduled for July next year.
“The idea is to keep all starters so that Palmeiras can be as competitive as possible unless, in Rios’ case, there is a proposal close to his termination clause which is €100m (£85m). No one will pay €100m for Richard Rios.”
Everton keen to add another midfielder this summer
Everton now have three midfielders shortlisted who they are targeting to potentially bolster Dyche’s options.
Given the seeming difficulties in executing a deal for Rios this summer, the Colombia international was not included on the list.
However, the list is certainly comprised of a mix of players with the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Habib Diarra and Lesley Ugochukwu featuring.
Galatasaray submitted an offer for Rios in recent days of Palmeiras’ original £21m asking price but it was rejected, it will be interesting to see what Everton could get elsewhere in the market for that price.
