Everton release new footage from inside the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium

The construction of the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium has been a vital source of good news for Everton’s fans recently. Blues supporters have endured an emotional rollercoaster in the last few years after back-to-back Premier League relegation fights and a 10-point deduction.

Progress is now coming along nicely as Everton get ready to leave Goodison Park and move into their new home. The Toffees intend to move into their home for the future in late 2024 after 132 years at Goodison. It has acted as the Blues’ home ground since way back in 1892.

Everton are now issuing a constant stream of updates on the construction of their Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, too. The Blues’ dedicated stadium account on X has released footage of their upcoming home on the banks of the River Mersey looking inside the venue, as well.

The video highlights the sheer scale of the project, along with a sneak peek at the view fans will get. Supporters will have great sightlines from various points around the stadium when Everton eventually move in. It is also due to enjoy a seated capacity of around 53,000 fans.

Ian Wright issues a bold prediction about Everton and a relegation fight

Arsenal icon Wright has issued a bold prediction about how Everton will handle their third-straight relegation fight following the Premier League’s 10-point deduction. The Blues were docked points after breaching financial sustainability rules between 2019/20 and 2021/22.

The penalty dropped Everton into the relegation zone but Sean Dyche has refused to let it scupper their season. Since the ruling during the November international break, the Blues have won three of their four games. Just three teams have claimed more points in that run.

A 3-0 win over Newcastle United last Thursday and then a 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday also moved Everton out of the drop zone. They now sit in 17th place and would be in 10th without the penalty. So, Wright has no concerns about Everton being relegated this season.

“Everton, it’s a beautiful thing to see,” the Arsenal icon said on his Wrighty’s House podcast. “It’s a beautiful thing to see because they’ve taken it all on board.

“And let’s face it, if they didn’t get the 10 points, they were playing a kind of football where they would’ve been okay anyway. They dropped in [to the relegation zone], so you just keep playing the football you were playing. It’s no different, you just keep playing it.”

Everton are still engulfed in their seemingly endless takeover saga as 777 Partners strive to buy the shares controlled by Farhad Moshiri. And the Liverpool Echo adds that the Premier League is still to communicate any update to the US group about the progress of their deal.

The Miami-based private investment company are still waiting to know if their takeover will pass the Premier League’s fit and proper owners test. But the delay could cause issues with Everton’s finances as 777 Partners will not provide the club with working capital indefinitely.

777 Partners have an agreement to fund Everton until the end of January and they may still extend the deal. But the American group will only want to inject further funds into the club if they believe the Premier League will give their takeover of Everton the green light swiftly.
