Everton are now reportedly interested in Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho, but they will face competition from Premier League rivals for his signature.
He only joined Frankfurt this summer from Royal Antwerp, but is already attracting interest following his excellent start at the Bundesliga side.
The 22-year-old is a left-footed centre-back, and has made 12 appearances for Frankfurt so far, but is regarded as a potentially top-class talent. In seven league games, his side have shipped just five goals.
Everton have now reportedly joined a host of Premier League sides who are vying for his signature, possibly even in the January transfer window.
Everton in transfer battle for Pacho
TEAMtalk have now reported that Everton, Crystal Palace and West Ham are all eyeing up Pacho, who joined Frankfurt this summer for around £8m, and he is already being valued around the £35m mark.
The Ecuadorian has six senior International caps and two goals to his name, and he is seen as a potential star for the future.
It is unclear whether Everton would be able to afford his asking price right now, especially given the uncertainty surrounding the potential takeover of the club, but if these issues are resolved by the summer and Pacho is still available, then he could be someone to keep an eye on.
What makes Pacho so good?

At 1.87m tall, Pacho’s physicality helps him in defensive situations, and he has also been described as “imposing.”
With Jarrad Branthwaite committing his future to the club, if Everton were to land Pacho, they could help form a strong defensive unit for years to come.
Pacho ranks strongly amongst centre-backs for his passing as per FBref, and given his size, he could be the ideal defender for Sean Dyche, and at 22, he is an option who could be of benefit to any manager Everton have in the next few years.
Finding left-footed centre-backs is not an easy task, but if Pacho can reach his potential, then whoever lands him would have a top-quality asset on their hands.
