Everton have been assessing the market for another centre-forward for most of the winter transfer window.

Everton have been linked to several strikers, including Ivan Toney, Troy Parrott and Joshua Zirkzee, to name only a few.

None of those deals have advanced, with David Moyes and his Everton recruitment chiefs clearly waiting for the right opportunity to arise.

Who would be your dream Everton signing this month? 👀

With that said, there is now a fresh transfer rumour emerging out of Finch Farm as the Toffees are eyeing a very talented number nine on the continent.

Everton are interested in Jhon Duran

Moyes has been ‘fixated’ on signing a striker this month, and it seems he’s still intent on getting one through the door before the deadline on February 3rd.

That’s because, according to Turkish outlet A Spor, Everton are now showing an interest in Fenerbahce’s Jhon Duran.

Everton want Jhon Duran… would he be an upgrade on Thierno Barry? 👀

Toffees fans will remember Duran from his time at Aston Villa before he made a whopping £64m transfer to Al-Nassr this time last year.

The 22-year-old netted an impressive 12 goals in his first 18 games with the Saudi Pro League side but left on a loan deal to Fenerbahce last summer.

Duran hasn’t been as prolific, but he’s still managed to contribute eight goal involvements in just 12 starts.

The report claims that Everton are facing competition from Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and West Ham United for his signature.

There is a potential stumbling block to sign Jhon Duran

It seems Everton may have some convincing to do if they’re to bring Duran to the Hill Dickinson Stadium this month.

The Columbia international isn’t too keen on leaving Fenerbahce, so Moyes will have to deliver a great pitch.

Duran will certainly want regular game time, and at the moment that surely won’t be guaranteed considering Thierno Barry’s form.

So, with all that said, there is a long way to go for this potential transfer to materialise, and the clock is ticking.

Six days remain until the transfer window slams shut.
