Before the international break, Everton picked up a huge victory against fellow relegation battlers Bournemouth but their return to Premier League football will be much more difficult as they face Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
Everton managed an emphatic 3-0 victory at Goodison Park in their last Premier League game and this should give them a huge morale boost before they battle Liverpool at Anfield.
The games between the two sides are always tense, but with Liverpool looking to battle for the title and Everton looking to push away from relegation, there is a lot at stake.
Manager Sean Dyche has a few players who will possibly miss the match due to injury, but he may have a selection headache with multiple Toffee stars performing very well against Bournemouth.

Everton Team News ahead of Liverpool
Currently, Everton have four players who are possibly doubts for the match. The latest Everton injury update suggests that this game comes too soon for Andre Gomes, Dele Alli and club captain Seamus Coleman.
Idrissa Gueye could be available for selection. The defensive midfielder has not been available since the last game before the international break as he pulled up in the pre-match warmup. Despite this, he was selected for international duty and came off of the bench for the final 10 minutes in Senegal’s match this week. With this in mind, it looks like he could be in contention for the Merseyside derby.
Everton predicted lineup vs Liverpool

With lots of good performances in their last Premier League match, Sean Dyche no doubt has an exciting selection headache before facing Liverpool.
The 3-0 victory over Bournemouth was much-needed due to the Toffees losing to Luton the week prior. Everton’s goals came from James Garner, Jack Harrison and Abdoulaye Doucouré. Doucoure, who has been called ‘unbelievable‘, has been on good form both this season and towards the end of last season. You would expect all three players the start in this derby match.
The defence speaks for itself, and with Coleman still injured, Ashley Young will most likely keep his place. There is an argument for Nathan Patterson to start at right-back, but this doesn’t seem likely as he has not been favoured this season and he was criticised by Scottish media over the international break.
Amadou Onana and Dwight McNeil have both looked solid, and you would not expect Gueye to come straight back into the midfield.
Meanwhile, despite not scoring in their last match, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is in good form, scoring two goals in his last three games. More importantly, he hasn’t picked up an injury and looks to be fully fit.
