Everton are back in action at Goodison Park on Saturday at lunch time, here’s our predicted line-up and the latest team news.
Everton need points desperately as they now find themselves sinking into the relegation spots in the league. Luton Town’s 4-1 thrashing of Brighton has made Sean Dyche‘s need to win more urgent.
Just one point is the difference though after the Toffees managed a 0-0 draw at Craven Cottage midweek.
With surviving in the Premier League absolutely pivotal for the future of this football club, the points need to start rolling in and against a captain-less Spurs, Dyche has a chance to spring a surprise.
But ahead of the game, we must look at both the team news and give our predicted line-up with a host of injuries to contend with once more.

Everton team news
Everton’s selection woes will continue here with both Andre Gomes, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Amadou Onana still missing. However the midfield could receive a huge boost with Idrissa Gueye returning from AFCON according to club media.
Elsewhere, Seamus Coleman could return – but aside from this, it’s very much the same group for Dyche to choose from.
This likely means the Toffees boss will be forced into choosing a very similar team here as the one which drew to Fulham.
He hasn’t been helped by the fact no reinforcements arrived on deadline day, despite an outside hope of a loan deal being done somewhere.
Everton predicted XI vs Spurs
So with such a massive game at hand, with points desperately needed, Dyche should name a strong team. One position which will definitely be at it’s strongest is in goal with Jordan Pickford a shoo-in as usual.
In defence, the full-backs should be Nathan Patterson and Vitaliy Mykolenko to try and cope with the attacking threat from Spurs’ wingers. The centre-halves will also have a tough task with the creative James Maddison ahead of them to defend. Therefore, the two strongest should start in Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski, although we can’t rule out a back three.
Midfield should see Idrissa Gueye come in next to James Garner as the double pivot, slim pickings for Dyche here with injuries to his two other options.
Out wide, the two usual suspects in Jack Harrison and Dwight McNeil should both start in their favoured positions. They’ll be tasked with not only attacking but also putting in a solid defensive shift, tracking back to help the full-backs.
Behind the striker Arnaut Danjuma slots in nicely in the hoping of earning his permanent place in the side with Doucoure a doubt still. Then lastly, up front we have Dominic Calvert-Lewin leading the line.
