Everton’s season is ending on a whimper following Sunday’s defeat against Sunderland.

After taking the lead in the first-half through Merlin Rohl, the Toffees failed to capitalise on their advantage… again.

Goals from Brian Brobbey, Enzo Le Fee and Wilson Isidor secured the points for the visitors and saw the Black Cats leapfrog Everton in the table.

Which Everton player should not be started next week against Spurs? 😬

Heading into the final day of the season, David Moyes’ side have seen their hopes of European qualification all but pulled from under their feet.

Jordan Pickford – 4

At fault for Sunderland’s winner. Simply has to do more to prevent Le Fee’s effort from going in.

How do you even sum that up? 😡

Jake O’Brien – 3

Struggled throughout the game. Mistake from Jake O’Brien allowed Everton to equalise just before the hour mark.

James Tarkowski – 4

Bullied by Brobbey for the Sunderland equaliser.

Michael Keane – 4

It was not as bad of a display as Michael Keane put in against Crystal Palace, but it wasn’t anything to shout about.

Vitalii Mykolenko – 4

Everton’s defensive issues continue. If nothing is changed by Moyes in the starting XI then nothing will change on the pitch.

James Garner – 6

Another who is not quite having the same impact as he has had over the course of the season.

Tim Iroegbunam – 5

Not a great showing from Tim Iroegbunam. Replaced by Tyrique George with 20 minutes to go.

Merlin Rohl – 7

Not particularly a great performance from the German, but was the only Everton player with any real conviction in front of goal.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 5

Struggling to have the same impact that he has offered Everton for large parts of the season.

Iliman Ndiaye – 3

He just hasn’t looked right for weeks. Lacking quality and the end of the season cannot come quickly enough for the Senegal international.

Beto – 3

Really poor display from the Everton striker. Just not involved in the game in the slightest.
