Everton suffered defeat in their final game of the 2025/26 season with Tottenham Hotspur securing their Premier League status.
There have been no wins for David Moyes’ side since the return from the international break.
A goal from Joao Palhinha provided Spurs with all three points in a game where Everton simply did not turn up… again.

Nervy at the back, which was summed up by his miscommunication with Jordan Pickford from a cross.
Vitalii Mykolenko – 4
Endured a difficult afternoon against Djed Spence, who was playing out of position in the right-wing spot for Spurs.
James Garner – 5
A difficult afternoon for James Garner, who was eventually shifted out to right-back.
Thomas Tuchel did not include Garner in his England squad, with his form over recent weeks dipping ever so slightly.
Tim Iroegbunam – 4
Tim Iroegbunam’s passing was really poor at times.
Merlin Rohl – 4
Showed exactly why he is not a right-winger. As impressive as Merlin Rohl’s engine is, he simply does not possess the quality in attack to create opportunities.
Iliman Ndiaye – 4
Same again from Iliman Ndiaye as it has been for weeks now. The Senegal international has looked desperate for the end of the season since the international break.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 4
Similarly to Ndiaye, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has not been at his absolute best for a while.
Thierno Barry – 2
Moyes gave Thierno Barry the nod over Beto and the striker had zero impact on the game at all.

Looked bright when he came on. Should have played more minutes this season.

Another who has deserved more minutes this season. Good effort denied by the Spurs goalkeeper.
