Everton ratings vs Wolves, how Harrison Armstrong fared as star drops 2/10 shocker

Everton were left with nine men on the pitch in a frustrating 1-1 draw against Wolves on Wednesday evening.

David Moyes was in need of a bounce back result from his men following a dismal defeat at the weekend, but that did not happen.

Another frustrating 90 minutes for the Everton fans in attendance at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as a big opportunity has passed them by.

Michael Keane stole the headlines after scoring and being shown a red card, with Mateus Mane equalising for Wolves.

Ahead of the game, Everton warned their fans about the cold weather but they certainly left the stadium hot-headed after some of the referee’s decisions.

Who takes the Man of the Match for you? 😬

Having been left to rue their dominance in the first half, here is Everton News’ player ratings for the draw against Wolves.

Jordan Pickford – 7

How did he save that right at the end? Jordan Pickford salvaged a point for the Blues by denying Wolves a stunning winner.

Jake O’Brien – 5

Could have parked a cruise ship in between Jake O’Brien and James Tarkowski for the Wolves equaliser.

The demand for a new right-back simply has to be resolved.

James Tarkowski – 6

Dominant in the air once again, but was also at fault for the equalising goal.

Michael Keane – 7

Is he the best finisher at the club? He may have endured a difficult afternoon on Sunday, but Keane certainly knows how to find the back of the net.

What on earth is the referee thinking here? 😡

ANOTHER shocking decision against Everton!

As for the red card… unbelievable.

Vitaliy Mykolenko – 5

A standard Vitaliy Mykolenko performance in being fairly solid at the back and offering very little going the other way.

Should have done better with his shot inside the box in the second half.

James Garner – 6

Perhaps the worst of the three starting midfielders. It was not the typically brilliant performance fans have come to expect from James Garner.

Tim Iroegbunam – 8

What a performance that was from Tim Iroegbunam! Certainly enjoyed the first 45 minutes more than the second half, though.

Harrison Armstrong – 7

And what a return to the club for Harrison Armstrong! The 18-year-old midfielder looked like an absolute natural in the middle for the Blues.

Playing in a midfield three, Armstrong has just made it very difficult for Moyes to send him back to Preston North End.

Dwight McNeil – 5

Started the game off looking tidy, but Dwight McNeil failed to really make much of an impact in the attacking third.

Thierno Barry – 4

Perhaps a lack of service can be to blame, but Thierno Barry is going to have to start creating more for himself.

Jack Grealish – 2

Absolutely dreadful from Jack Grealish. Poor with his performance and let his teammates down with a daft second yellow card.

He may have five assists to his name this season, but Grealish has an awful lot still to prove before a decision is made on his future beyond this season.
