Everton may be filled with regret after one of their former players produced a brilliant performance in the Championship last night.
Everton have a number of former players plying their trade in the second tier this season, although all with varying degrees of success.
Tom Cannon has endured a tough period at Sheffield United, and so too has fellow striker Ellis Simms at Coventry City.
On the other hand, Thierry Small has been flourishing at Preston North End, and their supporters reckon he’ll be a Premier League player in no time.
The Toffees could end up regretting letting go of another former player who scored a wondergoal for West Bromwich Albion yesterday.

West Brom fans heap praise on former Everton midfielder Isaac Price
Everton allowed Isaac Price to leave on a free transfer during the summer of 2023, and now he’s enjoying a really productive career at West Brom.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder was in action against Watford last night and scored a wondergoal, earning him rave reviews among Albion supporters.
That was his seventh goal involvement of the season, so it’s looking like one that got away for the Toffees.
“Isaac Price. You beauty,” @njwoodward simply said.
@sjpatel212 added: “What an absolutely fantastic goal! Loved the press, the step over and a wonderful unerring finish from Price. Struck it like an arrow.”
“Isaac Price Thats it Thats the tweet,” @DJAndyMole wrote.
@TheBaggiesBible commented: “Isaac Price is some boy isn’t he?”
Everton should rue Isaac Price decision
Price was always really highly thought of at Everton, so to allow him to leave when he was still a teenager seems baffling in hindsight.
Speaking back in 2022, then Everton manager Frank Lampard said Price had ‘everything’ to become a top player.
“Isaac Price I’ve been really, really impressed with. In terms of him as a midfield player, he’s got everything. There’s a potential that Isaac will be in the travelling squad and could be on the bench. He absolutely deserves it.”
Clearly, staff around Finch Farm will be watching his form at West Brom with regret, especially if he ends up moving on for big money back to the Premier League.
Leeds United and Burnley have been linked in recent months.
