Jarrad Branthwaite’s future has been thrown into doubt in recent weeks.
When Thomas Tuchel named his first England squad last month, Jarrad Branthwaite was a notable omission.
The Everton defender was in terrific form leading up to the Three Lions camp, so it came as a big surprise, especially considering Dan Burn got the nod.
Rumours began to circulate that Branthwaite was considering an Everton exit this summer to try and get into Tuchel’s squad for the World Cup next year.
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offer £50m for Branthwaite, but, that won’t bring the Friedkin Group to the negotiating table.
Here’s what Everton News understand about the 22-year-old’s future at Goodison Park.

Everton make it clear Jarrad Branthwaite is not for sale
Contrary to reports, Everton News understands that Branthwaite’s price tag has not changed and the club do not want to sell this summer.
The former Carlisle United defender has three years left on his contract and a new deal is still very much an option being looked at.
However, that said, if any forthcoming suitors come in with close to a record-breaking deal for a defender (£70-80m), then it will be considered.
Anyhow, Branthwaite is enjoying his football under David Moyes, who is keen to retain his signature ahead of the move to the new state-of-the-art Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.
Everton’s PSR issues set to be lifted
Since the summer of 2021, Everton have been forced into making big sales to avoid further PSR penalties.
Richarlison, Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana have all left for big sums in recent years, much to the frustration of the board.
But, finally, the Toffees are expected to be rid of their financial restrictions, certainly from July onwards when the financial year ends.
So there is no immediate need to sell Branthwaite unless a truly substantial offer arrives that’s too good to turn down.
Everton’s new stadium will bank them an extra £40m-a-year in revenue, so they’ll be able to retain their best talent over the coming years.
