Everton fans want to see some activity in the transfer window, but it’s been all quiet so far.
The Toffees are thought to be on the lookout for potential deals. But it’s been suggested that loan moves are more likely unless something ‘exceptional’ crops up.
David Moyes also recently poured cold water on the idea of an eventful window on the incomings front.
It has left some supporters a little agitated.
What will you think about TFG if Everton don’t address their needs in the winter window? 🤔
The pressure is on The Friedkin Group according to Alan Myers…
Because Everton are actually in a decent position right now, and a strong January could help the team to secure European football.
Everton are only six points off fourth place, so there is a very good chance of Conference League football next season or even Europa League.
A new right-back and a striker are on the agenda for Everton, if they are to do anything.
But it’s also been floated that Everton could go for a midfielder – but one potentially brilliant opportunity looks like it could go begging.

Aston Villa primed to win Conor Gallagher race

Everton will have a decision to make at the end of the season on Idrissa Gana Gueye.
The midfielder turns 37 in September, and will be out of contract in the summer – although Everton will have the option to extend it by a year.
But it may well be that he departs. Even if he doesn’t, the club need to be thinking about long-term successors.
And Everton might be about to miss out on someone who’d be perfect.
Have Everton missed a trick not moving for Conor Gallagher? 🤔
He's close to joining Tottenham for £34m…
It was reported last night by David Ornstein that Conor Gallagher is closing in on a move to Tottenham Hotspur, with talks advancing about a return to England for the midfielder.
But it’s looking like north London will be his destination – and that’s a brilliant signing for them if it does happen.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like Everton have even tried to sign Gallagher, which is strange.
Gallagher would have been a perfect signing for Everton
Supposedly, the move for Gallagher to Tottenham will be around £34 million.
That is a reasonable price to pay, for a player who has played 136 times in the Premier League already, and has turned out 23 times in the Champions League for Atletico Madrid. He’s also won 22 England caps.
It’s safe to say that Gallagher has enjoyed a great career so far, and he’s still only 25. So the start of his peak is still around three years away.
Gallagher is known for his energy and intensity. Those are things that have impressed Atleti boss Diego Simeone, who said in April 2025 (via ESPN): “When we think of him we think of his youth, energy and intensity in the game. He also strikes the ball very well.

“He will evolve, he has room for growth. He is very intense in offensive and defensive play, he brings a lot to us.”
Evertonians love players that run their socks off for the badge and Gallagher is absolutely a player who’d do this. He’d be so easy to get behind, and become a potentially crucial cog if Everton could strike the right balance in midfield.
It is frustrating that Everton seemingly aren’t up to much right now. Donyell Malen is another player who could make a difference, with the Villa striker the subject of an approach by Roma.
Hopefully, the Toffees hierarchy will spring into life in the coming days as fans clamour for new additions
