Everton fans won’t be too pleased with what’s going on at their club right now and may be even more annoyed when they find out about a potential in-house agreement.

The weekend’s result against Brentford hasn’t left Everton fans in a particularly good mood, especially as their side are now even closer to the relegation zone.

Sean Dyche didn’t help himself during the Brentford clash. A number of fans could be heard screaming at the Everton boss to make substitutions in the second half.

Jordan Pickford even voiced his frustration during the match, as he could be heard calling for a change himself, with things going stagnant.

Now, some news has come out away from the pitch, but it involves a player who has been splitting the opinions of supporters all season at Goodison Park.

Everton sources confident of agreeing a new deal for Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Dominic Calvert-Lewin just hasn’t lived up to expectations in the current Premier League campaign, with two goals in 12 games for the Toffees.

Everton fans slammed Calvert-Lewin for his performance against Brentford, with many raising the point of him doing very little in the game.

However, it appears as if those at the club and the Friedkin Group coming in have set their sights on getting him to sign a new deal at Everton.

According to the BBC, Everton sources say they remain hopeful of coming to an agreement with the player.

His current deal runs out in the summer and there had been suggestions he is weighing up his options.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin worth a new deal?

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is already on £100k-a-week, so any new deal would likely see him earn a decent amount more, which could put him above Jordan Pickford on £130k-a-week.

However, this would be a huge mistake.

Scoring two goals in 12 Premier League goals has been part of the problem for Everton this season, as he’s had countless chances but just can’t seem to finish them.

This is one of the things that is currently wrong with the club. They’re not ruthless enough.

The Friedkin Group have been quick to get rid of managers when they’re not performing at Roma, so why are the same standards not being kept with players?
