Everton appear to be sitting on an asset worth absolutely millions, with one player having some seriously impressive statistics.

It’s been a promising season so far for Everton, who are currently mounting a challenge for European football.

Everton are four points off fourth at the moment, and a victory against Leeds United on Monday would certainly get fans believing European football can be possible.

How much would YOU say James Garner is worth now? 💰

Everton paid just £9m for him in 2022… 👏

Everton wobbled at the start of 2026 but the win over Aston Villa was superb, and it featured an outstanding performance from James Garner.

Fans hailed Garner for his performance against Villa, which was just the latest of many he’s had this term.

And now, a very impressive set of statistics have come to light about Garner, which suggest his value has sky-rocketed.

Garner has been excellent this season, and has played in several different positions.

His versatility has helped David Moyes massively, and the Englishman is just starting to gain recognition beyond the Everton sphere now.

Garner has certainly been all-action, and now a set of statistics have emerged that show just how brilliant he’s been.

As per OptaPlay, Garner is currently the top English player in the Premier League for combined tackles, interceptions and chances created:

That Garner is actually outperforming these players suggests Everton now have a player worth many millions on their hands.

Of course, Declan Rice transferred to Arsenal for over £100 million a couple of years ago.

Elliot Anderson has been suggested as a £100 million player (via Goal), as has Adam Wharton (GMS), so given this data it’s fair to argue that Garner’s valuation could now be in a similar ballpark.

Garner’s new Everton contract further increases his value

There was great news earlier this week when Everton announced a new contract for Garner.

It had been on the cards for a while, but it was a real relief when official word arrived, because this is a player Moyes needs to be building around.

That contract extension now means his value has sky-rocketed.

So any clubs looking at him will have to pay an absolutely huge fee to prise him away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

If the likes of Anderson and Wharton are being talked about as £100 million players, then Everton officials can surely value Garner similarly. Not that they’d want to entertain the idea of selling him.
