Everton are looking at attacking options ahead of the January transfer window opening on Thursday.

Alan Myers believes David Moyes wants three new signings as he looks to add more depth to his threadbare Everton squad.

The Toffees have been looking at a number of strikers, with Artem Dovbyk, Ivan Toney and Troy Parrott consistently linked.

A central midfielder and a full-back have also been mooted, but now it seems as though Moyes is eyeing another winger.

There is a fresh update coming out about Brennan Johnson amid reports Crystal Palace have agreed a fee to sign the Tottenham Hotspur wide player.

Everton target Brennan Johnson undecided on Crystal Palace move

Ben Jacobs is reporting that Everton are showing an interest in Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson ahead of the winter window.

The Toffees are joined by Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, although the latter have already agreed a £35m deal.

However, according to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas, Johnson is ‘undecided’ about a move to Palace.

It appears the Wales international wants to assess his option, which includes a switch to Merseyside, before making a final decision.

Everton would, of course, have to match Palace’s £35m bid if they were to land Johnson’s signature next month.

Everton should steer clear of Brennan Johnson

The links to Johnson make very little sense to Everton, as they shelled out £40m on Tyler Dibling in the summer.

A winger isn’t a priority area of the pitch either. Moyes has far more pressing matters elsewhere, so they should steer clear of the Johnson deal.

Do Everton need to sign a winger to provide Grealish with competition?

Plus, he’s completely out of form at Spurs, having netted just two Premier League goals in 16 appearances this term.

Moyes will have to be selective with his budget as the Friedkin Group spent in excess of £100m in the last window.

So, they won’t have too much wiggle room in relation to PSR rules.
