Everton have come to the decision that a summer move for Arsenal’s Ben White is going to be too expensive.
A new right-back is high on the agenda at Everton for this summer’s transfer window after months of playing Jake O’Brien out of position.
Everton are prioritising a new right-back, but the Blues are keen to make the right decision in the market.
Thoughts on potentially signing Ben White? 🤔
White is someone Everton have considered, but his latest valuation from the north London side is set to put the Blues off any potential summer swoop.

Everton pull out of the race to sign Arsenal’s Ben White
Warning signs were sent out to Everton earlier in the year as Jamie Carragher slammed White’s defending during one Arsenal game.
The defender ended the season with an injury, but remains an option for the Premier League champions to offload.
A report from Sky Sports has made it apparent that White’s future will not be on Merseyside with Everton, though.
How are we being punished again by the Premier League? 😡
Everton ordered to pay Burnley £40m in compensation…
It is claimed White is believed to be out of Everton’s financial reach, which may slightly concern some supporters.
Taking to TalkingPoints, a number of Everton supporters were excited about possibly signing White from the Gunners.
However, Sky Sports have listed four names who the Toffees are looking at instead of the Englishman:
- Emil Holm
- Brooke Norton-Cuffey
- Zak El Ouadhi
- Omar El Hilali
David Moyes is desperate for a new right-back to be signed on Merseyside this summer following an unsettled season at that position.
With Seamus Coleman now departed and Everton expected to sell Nathan Patterson, the Blues have a big hole to fill in defence.
Supporters will want to see ambition from The Friedkin Group, but the suggestion that White may be out of their price range will naturally create a few questions.
